Head down Bond Street, there is a dark house illuminated by a faded yellow streetlight by the park. Tonight it acts as a rehearsal room for Auckland band Long Distance Runner. Rehearsal room is enclosed with a soundproof door that never quite closes properly. It is small and claustrophobic but holds the memories of the countless New Zealand bands who have played within it's walls. Long Distance Runner begin to play. Their sound morphs into an intense, tight chaos. The band has produced two EP's and played countless amount of shows around the country. Their style is fast yet precise, ferocious but with control. There is skill, power and energy that comes together tonight and Long Distance Runner play like their lives depend on it. The band practices until they can't anymore.
