Aotearoa, à Primeira Vista

‘New Zealand says good morning to everyone who passes through, and every one of those good mornings is meant.

It is a place where people look after their animals and grow their own tomatoes.

When a surprise snowfall freezes them overnight a Kiwi is genuinely sad, for about as long as it takes to start laughing about it.

26 days of traveling through a country I didn’t expect to fall for.

I began to see another New Zealand, one that measures its grass by its own standard, not the neighbours.

Aotearoa taught me to breathe again, to be still with the land and to find richness in the present moment.

It has stopped me in my tracks again and again and led me to some of the most beautiful places I have ever stood’.
